Francois Bertheau Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes, 2017 is light, but intensely-flavoured where the dominant flavours are red-fruits. Very little new oak is used for these wines, so the essence of the flavours of Chambolle shine through.
Charmes is a Premier Cru vineyard where all the delicate flavours of the village become a little sweeter and a little more concentrated. This wine has an extra mineral ‘edge’ which gives it some power behind the silky texture.
